Hina gave her audition for Sony TV’s singing reality show Indian Idol, where she scored top 30 in 2008. During her college studies in Delhi Khan gave her audition for Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, under peer pressure and got selected for it.
There after she shifted to Mumbai and made her first television work in 2009, where she appeared in one of the longest running Indian soap operas as Akshara Singhania. Eight years passed by, and finally she quit the show in November 2016 to pursue other projects. Her performance in the series earned her not only positive critical reviews but multiple awards also.
In 2017 she joined Colors TV’s show Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 as a contestant and she finished as the 1st runner up. In September 2017 khan took part in Colors TV’s reality show i.e Bigg Boss 11 as a celebrity contestant. She survived for fifteen weeks and succeeded as one of the four finalists, finally emerging as the first runner up in January 2018.
In February 2018 she started her shoot for a Punjabi music video with Sonu Thukral, which was released in March 2018. After some month In July 2018 she appeared in Sonu Thukral’s Punjabi music album Bhasoodi. In October 2018 she played as Komolika an antagonist in Kasautii Zindagii Kay but she quit the show in April 2019 and got replaced by Aamna Sharif. Later that year she contracted for the film Lines. The film was directed by Hussain Khan and written by Rahat Kazmi and Shakti Singh.
On 2nd January 2019 hina signed another short film Soulmate with opposite actor Vivan Bhatena. The film was directed by Pawwan Sharma. On May 2019 she shot for Rahat Kazmi’s short film Wish List with opposite actor Jitendra Rai. From September she started to shoot for Rahat Kazmi’s third film, which is a Indo-Hollywood’ movie titled The Country of the Blind as Gosha. In the same month Khan signed for a psychological crime drama a digital series, Damaged 2.
On January 2020 khan signed a ZEE5 horror film with opposite actor Kushal Tandon. After one month On February 2020 she made her entry in Bollywood with the film Hacked which was directed by Vikram Bhatt, along with Sid Makkar. On October 2020 she returned to Bigg Boss in its fourteenth season like a toofani senior along with Gauahar Khan and Sidharth Shukla for the first consecutive three weeks.
On May 2021 khan appeared in the music video album for T-Series song Patthar Wargi alongside Tanmay Ssingh. In June 2021 she appeared for her next song Baarish Ban Jana along with Shaheer Sheikh. It was shot in Kashmir. Both Stebin Ben & Payal Dev sung the song.
