Freida Pinto was undecided on what career to take until watching American biographical crime drama film Monster which is released on 2003, While at college. Freida Pinto stated: “I guess it was when I watched Monster… I pretty much knew. I had to find a way. She had to do something like that, something completely transformational.” In the year 2005, She began a modeling career and joined Elite Model Management India, with whom Pinto worked for two and a half years. Freida Pinto was featured in several TV shows and she printed advertisements for products such as Visa, Wrigley’s Chewing Gum, Vodafone India, Skoda, Airtel, eBay, De Beers and others.
Around the same time, she began going to auditions for TV shows and films. Freida Pinto was chosen to host Full Circle, an international travel show. From 2006 to 2008, This travel show aired on Zee International Asia Pacific.

Next year 2009, she was nominated for many more awards such as Black Reel Awards, MTV Movie Awards and others . Yet, Freida Pinto won Breakthrough Performance Award : Palm Springs International Film Festival and Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture : Screen Actors Guild Award.
Freida worked with the comedy-drama film You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger where she played the role of Dia. The film was directed and written by Woody Allen. The film You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on 15th May 2010, in an out-of-competition slot. The box office collection of this drama film was 36 million dollars and the budget was 22 million dollars.
